Induction Exercise

Connotations Photo Exercise-
These are the photos that were taken for the exercise.

Purity
We have chosen to capture a still of fresh water running from a tap. This show to true representation of purity as its from a natural source, by a canted close-up shot to give it a unique perspective.

Desire
We have captured this still of someone looking at a wall gallery to give the effect of him staring at a wanted desired concept. the camera was placed over the shoulder to show the direction of the subject he's looking at.

Loneliness
This still was created by someone sitting on a secluded bench away from all on going activity, this cleverly shows the isolation of the character and how he is accepted in society.

Weakness
This photo is of a high angled shot to capture the low strength/weakness of the character, this helps to understand that something bad has happened or the devastating life he is leading.

Poverty
We cleverly chose to take this shot half in darkness and in light to show the negative side to poverty and the possible bright outcome that may arrive. Sitting on the dirt also emphasises the bad hygiene issues in poverty. The camera is also of a high angle to show weakness.

Danger
We chose to capture this still of someone walking along a red pathway, this represents that there is danger ahead and that the character is about to walk straight into it. This camera was positioned to create a close-up.

Love
This basic still was to capture a simple gesture of love between two people, a close-up up was used to emphasise how big their love is for each other.

Friendship
We took this shot a it looked quite unique and captures the meaning of friendship perfectly by two friends standing next to each other, the brightness of the scene also replicates the positive friendship.

Strength
This still captures the moment perfectly as the character is pulling a masculine pose to symbolise his strength to the audience, the low angle also makes the audience look up to him as he is seen more powerful. We also reduced the F-stop value to put the main focus on the actor.

Fear
This close -up shot shows the actors expression of fear to the audience, it helps us to focus on his emotion more than any other thing that might be happening.

Wealth
We positioned the camera at a low angle to make the audience look up to him as a wealthy and powerful character, this makes you feel intimidated as the audience and feel lower in society.

Greed
we attempted to capture this shot to show the actor looking at something he really wants to get his hands on, finding this difficult we arranged his body away from the camera to convey his guilt of greed.
